The Town Council

The Town Council comprises 16 Town Councillors who are elected every four years - 8 for north ward and 8 for south ward. 

The Town Council holds its Annual Meeting in May each year, and meets on 5 other occasions, on the second Monday of the month, bi-monthly.

The Chairman of the Council also undertakes the office of Town Mayor.
