Hire rates

CASUAL HIRE: £18.50 per hour inclusive of VAT + holding/breakage deposit of £60.00.

What does the rate include?

This rate allows the hirer the use of the hall, kitchen with microwave, tea urn, kettle, crockery, PRS licence for the playing of copyrighted music on all devices, tables and chairs to seat 60 people as well as the outside patio and play area – weather permitting! (You will need to bring your own cutlery as well as black bags).

Is there anything we are not allowed to have at the centres?

Yes – bouncy castles, loud music, glitter or glitter products, confetti or party poppers.

How can I make sure I get the date and time I wish?

A holding / breakage deposit will be taken at the time of completing your on-line booking form. The deposit is refunded after the event in cheque form if no extra charges have been incurred.

When do I have to pay the hire cost?

Payment is taken once you have completed your on-line booking form and have agreed to the terms and conditions of hire.

How can I pay for the hire?

Payment is taken in full by debit / credit card at the time of making your booking on-line. If you wish to make a payment by cash or cheque you will need to visit our office at 80 High Street, Newport Pagnell. Our office hours are 9.30am – 4.30pm Mondays to Fridays. A member of staff will help you process your booking and payment on your behalf and provide you with a receipt.

What happens if I need to cancel a booking?

Casual hire Cancellation policy:

  • up to one month before event – Full refund
  • up to 2 weeks before event – 50% refund
  • less than 2 weeks from event – No refund

What are the measurements of the hall?

The Portfields Centre measures 6.3m in length and 10.2m in width.

Block hire

What is the hourly rate for block hire bookings.

The current hourly rate for block hire bookings is £13.30 inclusive of VAT.

How can I secure this rate

Book 12 or more sessions in a continuous period.

When and how do I have to pay the hire cost?

Payment of hire is via monthly invoice and is collected by direct debit on or around the 28th of every month – no cash or cheque to worry about!

What happens if I need to cancel a booking?

We require 1 months written notice of cancellation of booking. Should cancellation of bookings take you below the minimum 12 sessions to secure a block hire rate, the balance at casual rate will be invoiced.
